I keep dreaming over the thought of buying a sewing machine! I've been wanting to making my own clothes for a few years now and I've just never had the spare money to buy a sewing machine and of course all the fabric and other supplies I would need to buy. I'm hoping if I keep up this streak on Etsy I will be able to afford one soon. I've been lucky and have sold 7 items in the past 4 days! To me that is amazing, I'm sure other people sell A LOT more than that but I'm newly started and still learning everything there is. I'm very thankful for facebook because everyone who has purchased from me has found me on facebook. I'm getting my package tomorrow with the supplies I ordered last week and I couldn't be more excited! It's not much but I'll be making some rings and earrings and I bought pendants to make necklaces but I'll need to get to the store to buy some chains for those.

Bookmark Pom Pom Hats

I added two new items to my store! One of the new items I'm very excited about because even if no one buys them they are super cute and I'm proud of myself for coming up with them! I'm calling them Bookmark Hats and they slip right over the corner of the page in the book you're trying to mark.

Aren't those just the cutest bookmarks you have ever seen?! I didn't get to go to bed last night when I thought at 4am because Hazelle actually opened her eyes right back up and didn't fall asleep until 6am. But at least I was productive and made these :]

I also sewed a felt nautical phone pouch. It has a large anchor button and it's red and royal blue.

4 AM Ramblings

It's 4:00 in the morning and my daughter just doesn't seem to want to fall asleep. She has been on this ridiculous schedule lately where she doesn't go to bed until between 4-6:00am. She still sleeps 10 hours when she does fall asleep but I, of course, had to switch to this sleep schedule and I just hate waking up so late because I feel like I've slept my whole day away!


On a lighter note, I made my second sale on Etsy today! I sold another necklace and bracelet :]
I'm throwing in a free ring for both ladies since I'm so excited that I'm finally having some business but in reality my store has only been open a week so I'd say selling four items is pretty good! I'm going to use the money to get some more supplies. I want to save the money to help my husband out with bills but if I buy more supplies I'll make more money which means I'll end up earning more money to save! I made a few items tonight to add to my inventory, I just need my husbands friend to come over with his laptop because ours is lame and doesn't have a slot for my memory card from my camera so I can't post any of my items unless he comes over.

First Sale

Today I made my first sale on Etsy! It's a very good feeling and I hope more people start buying my items so I can use the money to buy more supplies :]

I found a wonderful selection of jewelry supplies online and I'm DIEING to get my taxes so I can splurge and get some amazing stuff. I did order some supplies last night so I'm waiting on that package so I can add more stuff to my shop. It will hopefully be here tuesday so I can get the items added tuesday night or wednesday.

Also, for any of you who like the items in my shop, I just went through and slashed most of the prices if you would like to take a look and possibly purchase something!

Oh Baby

Today I was working hard trying to work with whatever little supplies I had on hand and I ended up making matching leg-warmers, headband and a diaper cover! My picture quality is terrible, I know but it is soooo cute! My husband and I were totally gushing over how adorable Hazelle looked. I still need to work on that diaper cover and add a little cream lace ribbon like I did to the leg-warmers and headband but I think this may be something I add to my Etsy store.

Craft Day

I decided to pull myself away from the internet and get a little crafty today. I didn't make too much, since I am low on supplies but I did manage to make a pair of leg-warmers and a wire ring. Both projects were firsts for me. I feel like I was successful in doing both but who am I to judge my own work! I'm working on a second pair of leggings currently but I don't know if I'll finish them tonight since it's quarter to 3 am and I'm just waiting on little Hazelle to fall asleep so I can crawl into bed with my husband.

Welcome.

I joined the real world and got internet and a laptop so it was only obvious that I should start a blog! I live in a small town in the Mitten and I'm about 3 weeks shy of turning 23 years old. I'm newly married as of April last year and we had our first baby in October, her name is Hazelle Skye.

She is without the doubt the most beautiful little girl I have ever laid my eyes upon. I don't work anymore, I stay home and take care of her but I also make handmade items. I've been doing a lot of jewelry lately and started making button covered light switch wallplates, they're really pretty but take about 3 hours to make!
